About Girish

Hello, there! I am glad to meet you. I am Girish. I was born and raised in India; moved to the US for higher education and fell in love with the country. I have been here for 15+ years, most of them in NJ - specifically, Jersey City. This is where I met my current wife and we both decided to make Jersey City our hometown. Before meeting my wife, I was in Boston. I have a soft spot for Boston and all its wonderful sports teams, which can be eventful sometimes considering the love-hate relationship between New Yorkers and Bostonians. 

I come from a humble background in India. We are a small family of 4 - my parents and an older brother; all of them are in India. I love my family. I don't get to spend enough time with them, which makes me appreciate any quality time with them even more. 

Aisha and I both love to travel. I am also a foodie and I really enjoy trying different cuisines/restaurants. I am also experimenting with mixing alcoholic drinks. My dream is to open a bar one day. Hopefully, sooner than later.

I am a computer engineer by trade. I came to the US to do my Master's in Computer Science. After graduation I started working at Wellington Management, a buy side firm. I have always been fascinated with Finance maybe because my dad was a banker. After a few years with Wellington, I had a decent understanding of the Buy side. I wanted to learn about the Sell side so I joined Goldman Sachs, the behemoth on Wall Street. After a few years, I got into Risk Management at JPMorgan. This was soon followed by a stint in Corporate Banking at JPMorgan. All this time I was a computer engineer building larger and larger systems. More than a decade later in Finance, I wanted to try a different domain. Google opportunity came about and I joined Google in 2021. At Google I focus on creating and managing platforms that expand our reach by leveraging our partnerships.

I became a real estate salesperson in NJ this year (2023) with Keller Williams City Life Realty in Hoboken. My primary motivation was to save some money on my own transactions and make some money on rentals. I do want to grow the business and be able to help folks. I think real estate is a great way to build wealth and I want to share my knowledge with the community. Having lived in Hudson county for the better part of the decade, I am well positioned to help my clients achieve their goals.
